As the new term just has to arrive, I have been busy fuelling myself through it with some sugar-free baking! I know, radical. The freezer is now pretty much fit to burst but I have no intention of stopping. We also recently bought a Nutri Ninja (partly because of the ridiculous name!) and it is fantastic. I have been making smoothies for breakfast almost every day - officially addicted. It's also great for other recipes too, it crushed a pack of almonds in about 30 seconds and I made hummus in it too. The hummus was a brilliant find from another food blogger: http://minimalistbaker.com/best-ever-5-minute-microwave-hummus/ Unlike most recipe titles that claim this, it actually does take 5 minutes! And it was a great addition to my lunch that day.
Thanks to Deliciously Ella, I also discovered home-made ice cream. And I'm not talking about the complicated, chill for four hours, then stir, then do a headstand kind of ice cream making. I mean, chop up some fruit, freeze it, unleash your food processor and voila! I am working on a mango and chocolate recipe at the moment which I promise, will be fabulous. But it all started with a recipe from myDeliciously Ella To-do List, the one ingredient banana ice cream. It is sooooo simple, if you have a blender of food processor, I promise that you can do it!
In other online news, I've given my pinterest boards a bit of a revamp. Click on any of the boards to the left for some more Dancer Talks Food, like my ideal kitchen or ideas for when it's raining.
I have also got busy with all the recipes I've been collecting for a while in my beautiful recipe book (the little girl in me loves the fact that it's pink!)
Chickpea and tomato stew
Green Breakfast smoothie
Simple tomato salad
All of these and more coming soon I promise; I'm currently working on a banana and courgette cake too. Yum! :)
