Luckily breakfast is taken a bit more seriously nowadays as it has been re-branded 'the most important meal of the day.' While I think this is definitely true (I could never skip breakfast) I also think that it is very important to set yourself off to a good start with your breakfast. Sugary cereals are a big thing in my house, and I used to have 2 a day. Now I substitute in my healthy cereal recipe, which makes me feel so much better! Without loads of refined sugars, it is starting your day the way you want to continue - quick, healthy and makes you feel great.
Unlike commercial cereal, this recipe isn't full of refined sugars that will set you up to have an energy high (and low...) It is both simple and delicious, which means that I have come to rely on it almost every morning.
Carrot and banana smoothie
This recipe is perfect for weekday mornings in even the busiest household. It only takes 5 minutes, but tastes like it took much longer!
This is a great recipe for a really filling and healthy smoothie. For smoothie beginners, it isn't green and off-putting, doesn't taste of vegetables and is generally delicious!
More coming soon I promise! (sorry...)
