When I was up in London for The Car Man (see my dance blog for more info) I had lunch out at Shoryu - a restaurant that serves ramen and other Japanese food. Generally it was delicious, but the Chikuwa fishcakes were a very weird creation. They were like calamares in tapas, but spicy and filled cheese. Fish and cheese? Not something I'd order again but apart from that I really enjoyed my meal. The portions were so big that me and my dad had to speed walk to the theatre just to be there in time. Oops!
The restaurant also had a really cute interior, and I was very close to stealing the teapot pictured above. Luckily I managed to control myself by just taking a picture of it which was actually legal. As usual I struggled with chopsticks (something I doubt I will ever master) and the noodles in the soup were just laughably difficult to pick up. Each mouthful resulted in either getting soup all over the table or all over yourself! I got through it with difficulty, but the soup was so lovely that it was impossible to mind that much.
